Hey guys!
I wanted to let you know that the above menu on my blog is now working! You can visit past blogs by category if you’re looking for something specific, or you can go back to certain months via the “Older Posts” tab. My favorite part is the “Cool Stuff” tab which lists a few of my favorite websites and people. 2 of my good friends took pictures of me for my site and blog so their sites are up there too. Lisa Lotter took the pictures above on my blog (of me being totally goofy) and Jackie Ihnenfeld took the pictures of me on the “Meet Kylene” page of my website. It’s always nice to have photographer friends!
They took my picture when we were down in Tampa at the beginning of January, and let me just say I learned a LOT. Having my picture taken was the most nerve racking experience! I realized I was so used to being behind the camera, but being the subject was a different story. I almost started to feel bad about what I put my clients through! I don’t like to give a lot of direction while I’m shooting, I just like to let the subject be themselves and that usually captures their personality. But when I had my pic taken I definitely needed lots of direction! I only felt comfortable when I was told what to do instead of trying to vogue or ham for the camera!
With that said, I will try to be a better photographer and learn from my experience! Thanks to all who put their faith in me to make them look beautiful. It’s a bigger deal than I ever imagined to be given that responsibility!

Garrett is 3 months old now guys! I have to admit, I was shocked to see how much he had changed since we took his week old pictures. He’s getting bigger and cuter by the minute!
I took a couple pics with his bib still on, it just cracked me up:

Yes, I am behind. But there’s no time like the present to play catch up! Carson’s grandparents bid on a photo session with me at the Holy Comforter Episcopal School auction a few months back and we got together to take his pictures right before Christmas. I must say, taking pictures of a very active 2 year old made me feel OLD! We were all exhausted by the time it was over! We got into a bit of trouble when Carson saw the water fountain at Maclay Gardens – we couldn’t get him away from it for 10 or 15 minutes! We definitely had fun and I think we captured a lot of cute moments that showed how active he is at this stage!
Sadly we ended our day with a tear, but it was oh so sweet!
there you go again- it’s not a kodak moment, but a KYLENE moment! awesome!
Love the sweet baby and mommy images… great job Kylene. Oh, and that little tie bib is to cute!
