My rain dance worked again! It only rained while everyone was inside during the ceremony, but we had all the time we needed for nice outdoor pictures! Megan and Barry were so fun and laid back to photograph, and I think their pictures reflect how sweet they are to each other. I have a ton of favorites so enjoy looking through them all! I hope you’re both enjoying your cruise, can’t wait to hear how it went! Special thanks to my wonderful assistant Jen Carr who worked her booty off all day!
Wedding & Reception: First Baptist Church, downtown
Flowers: Flowers by Pat
Cake and cookie favors: Edgewood Bakery
For you photographers reading, this was the result of the amazing 50mm f/1.2 that I rented….yum:

I’m not at liberty to say what was so funny, but it was darn funny and I love the look on everyone’s face:

Yet again, the beautiful f/1.2:

Megan & Barry saw each other before the ceremony which allowed us lots of time for pictures. I highly recommend this to future brides! (ahem):

I love the look on Megan’s face as she sees Barry at the end of the aisle:

And here’s my new telephoto at work:

I got even more special picture time! After they left their reception we drove around town and took some more…see what happens when I’m given just 30 minutes?

Here’s another “behind-the-scenes” peak. Me taking the picture, and the result on the left:

Here I am, looking exhausted, with the bride and groom. They’re still looking fabulous, how did that happen?

Great Job Kylene…. you really captured their day beautifully.
haha!!! I love my behind the scenes shots I took of you!!!
Ok Kylene! I’m leaving you a comment…I love the “behind the scenes” shot and the result…fabulous!
Wow!!! What an awesome wedding! I LOVE the picture with the bride and the flowers! AMAZING!!!!!
These are wonderful, Kylene! Thank you so much! I can’t wait to see the rest! Love you
Hi Kylene! I really had it in my head that this wedding was in Tallahassee, but obviously we don’t have water like that here.
Either way, these look wonderful and I especially like the behind-the-scenes shot along with the result.
These are great Kylene, as usual! I love the one with the bridesmaids in the doorway!

I had a super fun engagement session in Jacksonville last Friday! We started at Chamblin BookMine and then headed downtown and just drove all over the place. Between me and Lauren we took hundreds of pictures from every angle imaginable, so you guys should have quite an array of pictures to choose from! Can’t wait for your “Day After” session coming up in a few months!

They grabbed their favorite book for this one:

They had to run out in the middle of the road for this one! :

They are so darn cute!

I think this is my fav of the day, I’ve been wanting to photograph this wall forever! :

Susan’s a barista at Starbucks so we had to pay homage, plus I’ve had this chalkboard idea in my head forever:

Here’s some “behind-the-scenes” shots that Lauren took of me in action:

I had a great time with you and can’t wait for the wedding! we rock!
gettin steamy there! woo woo!
Love that wall. Have you ever been to quebec? There’s this mural in the “old city” section. This is just one flat wall along the sidewalk. It’s super trippy when you walk by —

That’s the best pic I found in a not-very-exhaustive search.
These are so cute Kylene…… what a very personal engagement session. Awesome job!
We had such a great time with you guys! I love the pictures…especially the one in front of the wall!
You guys rock!
These pictures are beautiful! They truly capture Susan and Andrew’s love for eachother!
UUGH! Finally–THE WALL =) Great, great pics =)
Kylene… I Love these pictures! They are adorable! Chalkboard idea was amazing!!!!
She’s a barista? Extra points! We have to do these for our engagement pics, too! Fabulous as always, Kylene!
Christmas in JULY! July 24th, 2008 by Kylene. Filed in Exciting News, Personal.

It’s scorching hot outside, but it sure feels like Christmas at my house!! My birthday was a few weeks ago and through a collaborative effort, I am now the proud owner of a beautiful new lens! For any photographers, check out this beauty! Canon 70-200mm f/4 IS! I’ve been debating forever on whether to get the f/4 or f/2.8 but after renting the f/4 and holding someone elses f/2.8 for about 5 minutes the choice was easy. This lens is light enough that I can carry it around all day, but long enough for those tough to reach places! I’m sooo excited!

In honor of my excitement, I wanted to pass along a little early present to my wonderful clients. For just a few days you can take 25% off of any Gallery Wrap canvas from your event! We can do any custom size, but regular pricing runs around $350.00 for a 16×20 or $425.00 for a 20×24. So you can get a 20×24 for $318.75! These beautiful Gallery Wraps don’t require any framing, the images “wraps” around a 1.5 inch stretcher frame to create a border all around your image. I already have several in my house from my own wedding! You can get an idea down below:

*How the promotion works, is that you must place your order no later than JULY 30! I am able to offer this discount because of a promotion with my canvas provider so the deadline is important. I will also offer this to clients whose event is in the future, but you must pre-pay for your canvas by July 30.*
My last bit of excitement came in a FedEx box from Borrow Lenses, a company I’ve started using to try out some new stuff. For my shoots this weekend I rented a 50mm f/1.2 lens and immediately grabbed it to photograph my just-groomed dog. Ally, who is adorable in my eyes but not at ALL photogenic, posed for just a second:

I want toys!!!! hahaha
A girl in my photog class had that lens, and she also had a 580 exII speedlite, oh, and a mark II body. And better yet — NO IDEA how to use ANY of them!
I am oh so excited about this weekend!!!
haha. Love the pic of Ally. You’ll have to come photograph Semper next time you come out. He loves the camera! Ruff Ruff
Ally! Awww, you were telling me about this and your lense the other day. Congrats!
Hi! Just wondering if you were available Jan 17th for another wedding at FBC Jacksonville and if there was anyway I could get some more information about rates and what services you offer!!
Thanks a bunch! – Carrie

What an exhausting day but it was so fun and we took some gorgeous pictures, I know Megan and Barry will be so happy!
