Yes, it’s true. Ryan and I go to a lot of cool places. A lot of them are work related and we mix in a little playtime, but this last weekend we went to share a few days with my mom and stepdad at their new timeshare in Longboat Key, Florida. We ate some great fish, walked the beach, swam in the pool, played Spades, ping-pong, beach volleyball….we were busy! Just wanted to share a few pictures from our quick trip. The amazing sunset view from the condo on our last night there:
The second day I took my long lens out on the beach for some bird stalking…

I have a fairly relaxed weekend coming up, and then the craziness begins! Here’s what you can expect in the following weeks here on the blog:
Trash the Dress session with Sonja and Matt, Jacksonville
Trash the Dress session with Stephanie and Mike, Tallahassee
Ali and Dave’s Engagement Session, London, England
Krista and Josh’s wedding, 10.25.08, Jacksonville
Cherie and J.J.’s Engagement Session, St. Augustine
That’s just for October, November is super busy as well! I might even have a few surprises during each month, but I’ll wait to tell you about those later.
*I’ll be in London from the 13-19 so might not be able to respond promptly to your emails during that time
WOOOOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
SO EXCITED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Be careful–National Geographic might try and recruit you for your bird stalking abilities–great pics, as usual!
Are you a ‘Twilighter’? September 24th, 2008 by Kylene. Filed in Personal.

I’ll be the first to admit I don’t read a lot of books. I usually just don’t have time for them. But when I find an author or a series I like, I jump in head first and get swept up in the new world that I’m reading about. About a month ago my sister, Sarah, told me about the Twilight series that she was just finishing up. The Twilight “saga”, by Stephenie Meyer has been on the best-sellers list for quite a few months. Her fourth and final installment just came out in early August. I’m about to finish it, just a few chapters left!
I borrowed the first book from my mom, and then went to the bookstore to buy the second. I was a little dismayed when they directed me to the “teen” section. It’s true, the books are a super easy read and geared towards the teenage group. But that didn’t stop me from becoming totally immersed in the world of Edward and Bella, and her human struggle to love a vampire. Oh yeah…vampires, I love it. My favorite book series until now was Harry Potter, and I’m also a huge fan of the Lord of the Rings trilogy. I’m a geek, I’m not ashamed to admit it.
I don’t have to wait too long for the first movie to come out! Twilight hits theaters November 21st. Enjoy the trailer! I really hope the movie can live up to the book – sometimes they can’t play out on the movie screen as good as what your head comes up with when you’re reading. Recognize Edward? It’s Robert Pattinson, who plays Cedric Diggory from the Harry Potter movies. Yum!
Let me know that I’m not alone in loving these books! We can start a book club/discussion! I know my sister and hairstylist will participate at least….
You are the second friend that is telling me I need to read. That does it. I am getting the book this weekend and putting it next to the night stand!
I am a HUGE Twilight fan!!! Loved the books and I am so excited about the movie! Have you read the first 12 chapters of Midnight Sun (Twilight from Edward’s perspective) yet? It is on her website and so good!
I had never heard of it until now — but that tralier….looks SO good.
I’m definitely interested now!
Yea! I’m so glad I’ve converted you into a Twilighter. Or Twi-hard as some call it. I can’t wait until the movie comes out in Nov. Wish you were going to be here for it.
Oh well, keep spreading the Twilight love.
p.s. That trailer is a little bit old… the release date says 12.12.08. They have a longer one with the new release date…. just thought you should know!
Terri and Ali, you definitely need to read these!
Ursula, good to hear from you! I guess you couldn’t resist commenting on Twilight huh?
Sarah (my Twilight-obsessed sister) I actually liked the original trailer best, even though the date is wrong. The newer trailer is too much about the nomad vampires, I like it to be all about the romance!
Well I have to be honest and say….My perfect TWILIGHT nite would be with Sarah {sister and yes with an H} and my sweet, favorite, friend who really does not know how much I love her Friend Kylene would be. Looking foreward to any time spent with ya’ll! Love Sarah
OMG! My students got me hooked late last school year and once I started, I didn’t stop until I ran out of books to read. Twilight took me two days to get sufficiently hooked and the next two were done in a day each . . . I was so freakin’ mad that I actually had to wait for the 4th to come out (it came out on Aug 2nd–I waited in line at UCF before Derek’s graduation because I HAD to have the book before I boarded the plane for New York). I took my sweet time on the 4th because I wanted to prolong the devastation of THE END. All I can say is thank goodness for some nakedness . . . I was praying for it since the middle of the first book! GO TEAM EDWARD!
PS–you can go to http://www.twilightmoms.com for support and message boards for those of us who aren’t teenagers, but are in love with Edward (or Jacob if you are delusional). I felt a sense of comfort knowing I wasn’t the only adult totally obsessed!
PPS–ok final comment, I swear. Log on to http://www.etsy.com and type in Twilight Shirt (or any other variation of goodies) and see what you can get! Yes, I know . . . I am super obsessed!
Hi Kylene! Thanks for lending me your book…I’m only halfway through but I’m addicted already!

Last week while I was in Jacksonville I got to catch up with a friend of mine and meet the latest addition to her family! Jen brought over Judah and Avery and we had fun just running around my mom’s house, playing with some lighting, watching Thomas the Train and eating Cheerios. The kids are beautiful in every way, and were super sweet even though some stranger had a huge camera in their face!
The last time I saw Judah he was about 6 months old, so it was quite a change to see him all grown up and acting like a big brother.
Judah sitting in the “Big Man Chair”:

I think I actually said “That’s a wrap!” when I got this one…we worked so hard to get a good shot of the 3 of them but it wasn’t easy! I was thrilled…
Here’s the last picture I took of Judah! He looks so much like Avery….too cute:

Wow. the pictures look awesome. i think you have gotten even better since last time. you really have a talent. its still surreal in some ways that those kids are mine.
anyway thank you so much. we had alot of fun too and it was a joy to see you and your mom. hope we will see you again soon.
Oh my gosh… he is so big now. Isn’t it crazy how big they get so fast. Awesome Job!
LOVE ‘EM! The eyes on her . . . holy cow! 12 weeks to go . . . keep up the perfection =)
I LOVE Avery!!! She is sooo sweet. Ask Jen, Frank is in LOVE with her.. He wants a baby just like her. You got some AWESOME shots as usual.. you rock!!

Yay!! I am so excited about trashing the dress with you!!!
& I love the pictures of the birds! Glad you had a great time!
