Rylan is here! December 26th, 2008 by Kylene. Filed in Cute Kiddies.

I drove to Perry a few days ago to photograph Rylan on her 11th day of life. She’s still so tiny, but was wide awake almost the entire 3 hours I was there! We tried our hardest to get her asleep, but only when we put a onesie on her did she finally give in. It was like she didn’t want to miss anything. Teresa had Rylan’s room decorated in her trademark red, and I think it was beautiful for a baby’s room. Something unique! I hope she’s sleeping during the night for you guys, I’m sure you’re tired!
Here’s a few details from the room, and Jared trying to get Rylan happy:

Teresa had everything embroidered, and I especially loved the pink and brown polka dotted burp rag!
Trying something new. I think it would have worked better if Rylan had been konked out:

Merry Christmas to All! December 25th, 2008 by Kylene. Filed in Personal.

I hope everyone is having a wonderful Christmas! I know I have…..”Santa” aka husband spoiled me rotten with a brand new iMac computer. It’s my first Mac and I’m so excited! We’ve already got almost everything up and running.
Christmas Day is usually nice and peaceful for us. We sleep in, open gifts, cook dinner and go to the movies. We’re going to see The Curious Case of Benjamin Button and I can’t wait! We also saw 7 Pounds last night which was incredible, definitely go see it when you get the chance. Our friends Carol and George are coming over tonight for dinner and I’m roasting my first turkey. Hopefully that turns out ok, otherwise we’ll be eating at TGIFriday’s. :)
Ryan and I watch Faith Hill’s Christmas special last night. She’s always been one of my favorite artists so it was really nice to hear her sing all these great Christmas songs. She added a new song into the mix and despite all the traditional ones that I knew, this one was my favorite. You’ve got to listen to the whole thing, I was a little confused at first. :) But it will definitely make you remember the true meaning of Christmas and take a step back from all the gifts and food.
I’m heading to Jacksonville on Saturday for the week. My sister and brother-in-law are visiting from Hawaii so it’ll be extra special! Then I have a few days off and Cherie and J.J.’s wedding on Friday at the World Golf Village in St. Augustine. Can’t wait you guys!
oh I love the one with the flower headband…awesome work

I’m so glad I got to be a part of this wedding. My sister and I grew up with Kim and her family, so when she called and said they were quickly planning a Christmas wedding I was on board! Ryan is in the Army and is getting stationed in Germany early next year, and Kim is definitely going with him! It was great to see old friends, but even more fun to see how Kim has grown up. She and her twin sister, Kristen are 2 years younger than me so they always seemed like “kids”. But Kim has turned into quite a stunning woman…I love the portraits of just her. Wow….enjoy your sneak peek guys! The rest will be up as soon as I get my presents wrapped and turkey in the oven!
Merry Christmas to everyone out there. I’m so shamed that I didn’t make time to send out a Christmas card, but at least you can see I’ve been busy!

Kim and Ryan’s “First Look”. I love her expression:

They had quite a passionate kiss so Ryan tried to spare everyone the details:
Suuuuuper sweet first dance…I love those:

I snagged a quick pic with the girls. I wish I could find one of us on the swim team from like 1992, that would be so adorable…I’m sure my mom has one.

These are gorgeous, Kylene! I love the light in the first one. Happy New Year!
These are BEAUTIFUL pictures! Can’t wait to see the rest.

Merry Christmas Kylene! I love the song you’ve included. Have fun next week. I am looking forward to going home to NC in a couple of weeks. Still photographing family portraits this week. Miss ya!
