“Things I Love” Thursday

March 26th, 2009 by Kylene. Filed in Things I Love

It’s been another great week here at Forever Photography!  Some quick and random things I’m loving:

The WEATHER!  I think it’s supposed to rain this weekend, but other than that I’ve been loving the cool sunny days!

Frappuccinos – the ones from the grocery store. (I’d be broke if I got one from Starbucks everyday!) But more specifically, Dark Chocolate Raspberry Mocha Frappuccinos!  I guess they were a limited flavor because they put them on SALE!  So I got a little 4 pack for $1.75.  That makes me happy.  However, I need to learn to only drink half each morning.  I’ve been wired the last two days on these things!

Across the Universe soundtrack – I realize this has been out for awhile now. But I loved it then, and I love it now.  If I listen to one song I have to listen to them ALL!  I’ve loved The Beatles since 5th grade and especially love the new spin on them.  Besides, Jim Sturgess is just adorable…

Those are some little things, but what I’m really loving this week is the Humane Society.  I mentioned a few blog posts back that I’m hosting a fundraiser for them, Sit. Stay. Smile!  The HS emailed out their weekly newsletter this week (to 4,000 people) and my email and phone have been going berserk!  There are so many people excited to help out this good cause, and I’ve really been enjoying making all the appointments and finding out what kind of pet they have and what their names are.  (I think my favorite so far is Ricky “Rebarko”!  Get it?  Ricky Ricardo?)   The event is halfway full now, so if you’re interested in participating drop me a line soon!

I’ve been working on some test shots with the new backgrounds I bought and figured I’d give you a sneak peek so you can see the cuteness that will be going on!

My sweet little Ally on the “girly” background.  I’ll have the pillow and 2 silver bones too, as well as a cute chair for the little dogs!

Here’s Kelly, my friend’s doggie on the “boyish” background.  He’s the cutest, fattest Westie on the block!

I will also have a large white background for groups with multiple dogs that won’t fit on the smaller backgrounds.  Here’s the info again, so shout out if you want to make an appointment!

The Girls of VUE Photography | Genya & Wesleyann

March 20th, 2009 by Kylene. Filed in Portraits

Ahhhh, I know it’s Friday night and I should be hanging with my honey on the couch.  But I could NOT stay away from the computer on these!  I wanted to edit them ASAP!  My fabulous friend Genya, of VUE Photography, asked if I could take some pictures of her and her new assistant, Wesleyann, for their new site coming out soon.  I was so excited/flattered/thrilled/ecstatic, and headed over to Panama City yesterday to document some craziness.  I think I need their energy at every shoot – we had so much fun and I’m so happy with how these turned out!  So if you’re in need of some personality shots, no matter what your profession, give me a call and let’s have some fun!  TGIF everyone!

“Things I Love” Thursday

March 19th, 2009 by Kylene. Filed in Things I Love

Cheers to another week with things I love!  I jot things down during the week so I don’t forget – there’s little sticky notes everywhere because these things tend to be pretty random.  :)   This week I’ll start my post off with something very dear to my heart:

SAUCE -  I have a serious love affair with sauces.  Maybe even a problem.  If there was a Sauces Anonymous meeting I could go to I probably should.  My food tends to be more about the sauce that goes with it, versus the actual food itself.  Here’s my list:

sauce_low_carb.jpg

Polynesian sauce from Chick-Fil-A

Curry Mustard sauce from California Chicken Grill

Wine & Cheese dressing from Bagel Bagel

Datil Pepper Sauce from Firehouse

Yum Yum sauce from Mr. Roboto (kind of like the “shrimp sauce” at the hibachi grill, the pink stuff!)

Southwest Vinaigrette dressing from Moe’s

Zax Sauce from Zaxby’s

Arby’s Sauce from Arby’s

Port Wine Mayo from Monk’s

Bacon Alfredo on the chicken carbonara sub at Quizno’s

Thousand Island dressing whether it’s on a reuben, Frisco melt, whatever…load me up.

any kind of BBQ and Honey Mustard

Whatever the sauce is at Guthrie’s!  I think it’s just mayo, ketchup and pepper but dang it’s good.

Just seeing this list written down makes me realize my problem even more.  There’s also a ton of dishes with sauce I love, but we’ll just stick to the dipping stuff for now.  (marinara, alfredo, I’m not leaving you out)  What are your favs?

Aveda Lipsaver Chapstick  aveda-lipsaver.png

I have come to realize that I have a major obsession with this stuff.  I never thought I’d spend $8 on a tube of chapstick, but I’ve found myself buying several at a time so I can put them everywhere.  One in my purse so I always carry one with me, one on my desk, and one on my bedstand so I can put it on at night.  I dare you guys to go buy a tube, you’ll never use the regular stuff again!

TheManRegistry.com -  I stumbled across this website and just had to share it with you guys.  When I was still engaged and planning our registry I could definitely tell there was a lack of “excitement” from Ryan’s end on all the girly china and stuff I was picking out.  Here’s your solution!  They have the coolest stuff for guys on here, and it’s also a great place to find cool groomsmen gifts and other wedding related advice.  Go visit www.themanregistry.com!  I particularly like the toaster and egg poacher in one.  Super convenient.  Hope you guys are having a great week!  I’m heading over to Panama City to take some updated pictures of Genya and Wesleyann with VUE Photography!  Can’t wait to share some of that funkiness with you!

Oh my. We are sauce soulmates. Hahaha…I’m just as bad, girl! :)

Samantha (Steph's sister-in-law)

I LOVE SAUCE TOO! Glad to hear I’m not the only one! How people can eat french fries without sauce is just unthinkable for me! You’re pictures are awesome! I check out your blog at least once a week!
